6 Miles

Yea! We made it through another winter…or did we? We have 6 inches of snow predicted to come tonight/tomorrow. So far my flowers have survived the cold nights, but not sure how the weight of the snow is going to treat them (I’m assuming not too well).  At least it’s is supposed to get up into the 40s the rest of the week, so it won’t stick around too long.

We celebrated James’ 30th birthday this weekend. Saturday morning we were getting ready for the celebration. I had put James’ gift on in a nice bag, on the counter.  I needed to run to the store, and left all the boys (and enjoyed the freedom to run into a store quickly without 2 kids!). When I got back, James told me he had been working on the computer, and Will came into the room saying “Daddy, here’s your game!”  (That is what was in the bag.)  He took it and tried to put it back in the bag without seeing it, but couldn’t find the bag. There were pieces of tissue paper on the floor, but no gift bag! He asked Will where it was, and Will told him “I threw it in the trash.”  What a helper, right?

 My parents & Doug came down, and Heidi decided to come and visit from St. Louis this weekend and meet Alex for the first time as well. We had a fun time eating out for lunch, and then everyone coming to the house for the afternoon and evening.  We went for a walk and showed them the office building the company is moving into this week (it’s across the street from the other one), and enjoyed the sunshine. We had lots of cake, and fun playing games, as well as watching some of the basket ball that was on.  Heidi spent the night and joined us for church on Sunday.  We ran into Jen (my college roommate who moved here 3 weeks ago), and had her family over for lunch. After they left, we all got some short naps in, and then went to our Small Group meeting, where we had pizza! (Will was VERY excited.)  It was a fun weekend that went very fast.

As I mentioned, James is moving into a new office this Friday, so the new design of this site is on hold a bit. I’m sorry, I think it’s very ugly, and I hate looking at it. I am sorry you have to as well! We found some sites with free designs, but it’s taking some more “tweeking” then expected. Please be patient with us!
