Beautiful Day…

Tina's Blog April 12th, 2006

DSCN1298 (WinCE).JPGWe have had a string of beautiful days. Will loves to be outside, so we have been having fun outside. Will is enjoying playing with his dump truck and bull dozer in the rocks and dirt and along the drive way. I’ve been weeding. It isn’t much fun to be grown up!

Will loves to eat outside. (That’s what he’s doing in the picture on the left.) I think it’s because he can walk around and eat at the same time–something that is NOT allowed at the table. DSCN1312 (WinCE).JPGLast week, during our first nice day outside, I asked him if he wanted to have a picnic outside.  He was very excited. When I brought out his lunch of PB & J, he was quite upset. He kept saying, “No! I want picnic!” I then realized he thought a picnic was something to eat. And surely it was something yummy, not something boring like peanut butter and jelly! I finally got him to realize that a picnic was just any food we ate outside. He did eat his sandwich.

It is interesting to move into a house whDSCN1314 (WinCE).JPGere someone before you planted a great deal of flowers and plants. We have all kinds of things coming up, and some I have no idea what to expect.  The tulips and daffodils are blooming.  I have discovered we have a great deal of green onions growing like crazy in all the flower beds. So, the gardening tip of the day (not that there will be more) is to plant green onions/chives in a pot. Other wise, your garden will go to pot! (Sorry, just couldn’t resist.)

First Pacer’s Game

Tina's Blog April 12th, 2006

Monday night, James called me at 6:10 and said his boss had tickets to the Pacer’s game, would we like to go? (Games starts at 7. We’re about 25 minutes away from the game.) We thought it’d be fun to take Will to his first basket ball game (and hey, they were free tickets, why not?!?).  Forget bed times!  We can be more strict with those once we have school to get up for! We loaded up the kids, and drove downtown. DSCN1299 (WinCE).JPG

We would have made better time, but yesterday was the day (in Indy at least) we had the large rally for immigration reform. Downtown. During the dinner hour. An estimated 20,000 people were heading home as we were heading down there.  So that made us get there a little later. Will kept asking “Where’s the basketball game?  Where’s the game? Basketball–they run and DSCN1304 (WinCE).JPGturn around!”

We had a fun time watching the Pacers beat the NY Knicks.  Both Will and Alex seemed to enjoy the game.
