Imagine some creative title here…
As I write this, I’m hearing Will saying “Ruff ruff”, making his toy dog Rusty “bark” at Alex. Alex is laughing. It’s a fun sound—but they are both in bed and are supposed to be napping! (In the end, Alex got brought out of bed for awhile until Will feel asleep, and then Alex went back in bed.) The boys were moved into the same room last week in preparation of different family members coming to visit. The office/guest room that became a nursery is now a guest room/scrapbooking room. (Who-hoo! Guess who’s the most excited about that!
) So far, room sharing has been going rather well for the two. We had James’ sister & her family visit for a day, and then James’ parents here for 5 days keeping the "Room of Requirements" busy as a guest room. I’m looking forward to setting up a scrapbooking area later this week.
We had a fun time with all the visitors. It was fun to see the DeM family and Will had a great time playing with his cousins. They, sadly, could only stay one day. Good thing the Grandparents came a day later, to lessen the blow of the loss of the cousins. Will loved having Grandpa to play with, James enjoyed GrandmaLo helping out with (doing) dishes, Alex enjoyed the extra attention and I really enjoyed having adult company. We had a second celebration for Will’s birthday, when both sets of Grandparents could come and join us. We had BEAUTIFUL weather—it was almost chilly at times, more early October weather then early September.
Today we had to say good-bye to the grandparents, and it was the first day of Pre-School for Will. He did very well. He appeared to have a fun time (from what I can understand) playing with bubbles, hearing 3 stories, singing songs, having a snack, sharing a “red fish with a boy” (then he said he pushed the boy, leading to a talk about not pushing), and coloring. He is ready to go back on Thursday. I took him in and then Alex and I came home just in time for Alex’s nap. It was VERY quite in the car and the house. It was nice to get some extra work in, and have some one-on-one time with Alex once he woke up. So far, preschool is a success!
