If I Had 10 Million Dollars…
Tina's Blog November 9th, 2006There is a book out there with ideas for your blog. I don't have it, but someone else used one of the ideas and it seemed like fun, so I'm using it!
What would you do if you had 10 Million Dollars? (Since a million just isn't going as far as it used to…Sorry, I just keep singing the song "If I Had a Million Dollars" in my head…)
1. Tithe 20% to all kinds of places that could use the money! I don't have an exact plan for that yet, but James and I enjoy giving, so I know this would be fun.
2. Pay off the last of the debts.
3. Put 2 million in trust funds for each of the kids.
4. Move. To a larger house where I could feel we had room to entertain, and a "circle" so the kids could run around it. And a master bathroom (I NEVER want to share a bathroom with a potty training boy again) with a LARGE soaking tub. And a formal dining room. And a basement or playroom. And an office with built-in shelving I could design to hold all my scrapbooking items as well as our other books.
5. Put a hot tub in.
6. Nikon D70S Digital camera (I have no idea the specifics of that. I just read it takes good pictures FAST, no annoying pause that I have with the current digital camera.)
7. Have a closet organizer come into our new house and help me get everything organized.
8. Get a new wardrobe that contains more then 1 pair of jeans.
9. Invest in a workout room at the house so I could do the working out without going OUT.
10. Get a (boring) mini-van, but I want it to have the stow-and-go seating.
11. New furniture for the new house.
12. Start sharing with family. Maybe a dream vacation for all our family members on each side. And I'd like to see Europe. And Disneyland (I've never been).
I'm starting to feel very greedy & selfish by this activity. While it's fun to dream, I can't help think of how blessed we already are! I'm realizing these type of dreaming isn't good to do for very long, it's better to think about how much we have that we can be thankful for. And, as I look back, I realized how many MATERIAL THINGS are on that list. Hmmmm. If I didn't "owe" a post today, and if it wasn't so late already, I'd probably be tempted to not share this!
