I'm sorry, James just told me this was too long! Another good intention–to keep you up to date–gone bad. Summary, in case you're busy: I've been messing up a lot in the last few days.  We had great weather today! It's going to be crappy & cold tomorrow. Kids are injured, but fine.  Alex is cute and cracking us up.  Thanks for reading!

The last two days have been full of the best of my intentions…that have not come to pass.  Most of them are little things.  Yesterday, I was in the process of making dinner & putting it in the crock pot. I told Will when I was done we would go outside and play. I was getting things together when Will shut Alex's hand in the door.  The next hour was spent comforting him and dealing with that. So supper got on VERY late. And took longer then the recipe said (if you like your potatoes baked, not hard).  I went with a back-up meal–grilled cheese. Except we ran out of bread, so I had to run get that. And the meal in the crock pot? That would be supper for tonight! Except I left it out to cool and forgot about it, and left it out all night. When I found it this morning, it would not work.

Want another one? I wanted to take Will down the street to watch some diggers in action (yesterday we walked down there after they had stopped working for the day). It never happened today. Stuff kept happening, like Alex's nap going longer then expected or my needed to clean out the freezer.  James took him for a walk when he got home so he got to see them again, but again, not in action.

Yet the good things? We have had two beautiful days of temperatures in the 70s! Tomorrow it'll only be in the 30s, so we spent as much time as we could outside today. I got the freezer defrosted–it needed it badly. I don't want to say bad things about it since it was free, but it has a lose seal that means it builds up frost/ice rather quickly. (That's not bad is it? I'm just trying to state the facts.) I was able to unearth 2 bags of blueberries & one bag of broccoli I knew were there but were just covered buried in frost.  And I did defrost this summer, it's just that lose seal. It's on the list to be fixed.Smile

Other random things? Flu shots were received today. Will did very well, didn't cry at all. Alex did, but I don't blame him! I think that's partly why he slept so well during naps. Between that and the finger injury yesterday he was worn out. His finger got the skin torn on both sides so band-aids wouldn't work. In the evening, it looked very red & purple. This morning it just looked red, so it appears to be healing. He's adapted to crawling with that finger pointing up. For some odd reason he has also started to crawl on his hands and tip toes (legs straight & butt up in the air) at times. Quite funny. I haven't noticed any problems with his knees.
