Trying to Stay Cool

We are now in the hot, dog days of summer here. On Monday we went to the park (early to beat the heat). I was glad the boys were willing to explore after awhile on the playground. The stream and woods were much cooler (and less boring for me).
We've also visited some friends and been swimming. Well, I went swimming. The boys wouldn't go in the water, or only went if if they were being held by me. I'm hoping if we go again next week they'll be a bit more willing to try actually going IN one of the floaties we have for them.
