This morning, in the car, taking Will to preschool. Alex saw Will's hat and said "I want hat!"
I told him, "We forgot your hat, sorry buddy!"
He replied by saying "WHAT?!?"–I never thought I'd hear my two year old respond like that!
Later, we were talking about Will's Thanksgiving feast today. He was telling me how they were going to sing their Turkey Song. I told him "I can't wait to hear you sing that!"
He replised "But you have to wait, Mommy."

So the W sounds very literal and A sounds just like his mom!

Alex got the “WHAT?!?!” from me a couple of days ago when a green light turned red before I got there. I was all prepared to go through and it suddenly turned red with no warning at all. I said “WHAT!?!?” and Alex started repeating it. In context is the funny part.

I want to hear you tell this story in person! I need to hear exactly how this “What!?” sounded!
