6 Miles

I mentioned over on Facebook I was feeling a bit overwhelmed…By this evening I was feeling MUCH better, so I felt a need to share more details to show why. Sorry!   So here's my list and what I got done in the last few days.

Family Calendars Updated–done, mailed Tuesday.

• Download pictures (Did yesterday)
• Organize pictures (Did yesterday)
• Put pictures into months/birthdays (Finished today!)
• Print out 9 copies of calendars (James will do Saturday)
• Bind calendars (Saturday)
• Mail (Monday)

MOPS Fundraiser (We sold letters from "the man up at the North Pole" that are personalized for each child…since it was my idea, guess who got to do it? Some other steering members offered to help with the decorating and addressing the letters and we're going to do that tomorrow while our kids play–but that meant I HAD to get the letters printed out today!)  Done, mailed Friday.

• Personalize each letter (Done today!)
• Print out letter (Done today!)
• Decorate letter (Doing tomorrow)
• Address/Mail letter (Tomorrow) 

Christmas Cards Done, Mailed Tuesday.

• Write a short note to go in with the cards (Done today!)
• Make copy of note (Tomorrow or Friday)
• Address cards (Tomorrow or Friday)
• Mail cards (Friday or Saturday)

Those are the time sensitive things. Thankfully we have a very open weekend so I'll have lots of time to do that as well as the other things on my list:

• Sweep and Mop floors  Done, floors are already dirty/sticky again.
• Wrap gifts  Um…not done yet.
• Go shopping for Stocking Stuffers and 2 more gifts
• Finish the gifts I started making for Niece and Nephew (Boy that's not subtle. Everyone on that side of the family knows we're swapping gifts and only one family has the girl/boy combo.)
• Make baby gifts for 2 showers we're having after Christmas for two Sister-in-Laws (Just got supplies for this yesterday, and while I'm at it, I'll probably make the other two babies on the way a similar gift–there are 4 more grandkids on the way for James' parents. We're not one of the families!)
• Take the boys shopping to buy gifts for each other  One child down, one to go!

I also had thawed out our turkey we'd gotten and it was sitting in the fridge, mocking me. I roasted that up today, and it turned out pretty good–thanks for the tips Randy! Since there wasn't much leftover turkey from my parents house, I had bought one so we could enjoy a few turkey meals. I now have turkey in the fridge and 6 cups chopped up in the freezer to make some meals quickly/easily.

So now I'm sitting here, about to start working, but enjoying the feeling of accomplishment. While the list is still long, I feel much more focused and that it's manageable now! Whew. Now, excuse me, I have a power point to build on RESPA (Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act). (Holy cow, it's already 9:30?!?)
