Another Visit to the Children’s Museum
Last week we went, and I forgot my camera. Today, I remembered it as we met up with some friends after preschool. We pulled up to the parking garage and discovered it was FULL. And the two side lots we drove by were full…and there were LOTS of people walking from their cars towards the museum. YIKES! But we had agreed to meet friends, and this was the only time we could both meet up. So we braved onward!
The boys were excited to see this at the front of the museum:

(Part of the parking problem is they have torn up and are re-doing part of the overflow parking lot for the construction).

We walked around the corner and the line to buy tickets was out the door. Double Yikes! Thankfully, after we had lunch the place wasn’t too packed. Crowded, but no lines on the ramps like my friend experienced when they went on the free day.
We visited the Lego exhibit, but it was a bit too crowded to really play with them.

Then we went to the Pre-school room (where they limit the number of kids allowed in)…and we had lots of fun there.

On the way home , we narrowly adverted Alex taking a nap in the car by a well timed stop for gas (it was down to $1.94!). Then the boys came home and played out side for an hour while I worked a bit and made supper. After supper they played a short game of Frisebe with James. He left for praise team and I started working on getting them ready for bed. They were down by 7:15 and I didn’t hear a SOUND out of that room, they were so tired! I was thankful it wasn’t a typical Wed. night with us haning out after AWANA for Praise Team to end, not getting home until after 9. Instead it’s 9, and they’ve been down for almost 2 hours. They needed it! And I’ve enjoyed the peace!
